Davide Coppola (Trieste, 1992) is an italian composer, conductor and pianist. 
He studied piano in Maria Rita Verardi's class at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in Trieste where he graduated (Bachelor) in 2015 with a thesis-concert entitled 9 chorales by Bach/Kurtag for 4 hands piano and electronicsIn 2008 he starts at the same institute the study of composition with Filippo Del Corno, then studies with Stefano Bellon and Fabio Nieder. He graduated (Bachelor) in composition in 2018 presenting the piece for voice and ensemble La morte e gli orologi on a text by E.A.Poe. At the Tartini Conservatory he attended international piano masterclasses (K.Barth, E. Arciuli, E. Torquati, R. Clini, T. Leopold, C. Karajeva, M. Prause, B. Ambrosini and R. Yovchev) and composition masterclasses (C. Czernowin, S. Gervasoni, A. Solbiati, G. Tedde, U. Rojko). In 2017 he participates in the summer composition course held by Salvatore Sciarrino at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena: his piece for flute and viola Sol di Lei is premiered by Matteo Cesari and Massimo Piva. In 2019 he participated in the composition masterclass held by Ivan Fedele at the Arrigoni Academy in S.Vito al Tagliamento: his piece for flute and string orchestra (Di)vento is premiered by Maruta Staravoitava and the Arrigoni string orchestra conducted by Pasquale Corrado. In the years 2018-19 he took a conducting course with Marco Angius. In 2019 he is admitted to the Master in Composition at the Kunstuniversität in Graz (Austria) where he studies with Clemens Gadenstätter. He graduated with top marks in 2021 with Professors Clemens Gadenstätter and Clemens Nachtmann with the thesis "Polyphony for Solo Voice. Composition project for a single polyphonic voice". At the KUG he attended international masterclasses with Brian Ferneyhough, Frank Bedrossian, Alberto Posadas, Arditti Quartet.
 
In 2018 he founds as artistic director the Cassander Ensemble, a collective of young musicians dedicated to modern and contemporary music; Cassander has performed in Trieste and Slovenia (Koper Biennale). Since the same year he has been the musical director and conductor of Trieste Musical Company (TMC), a semi-professional musical company active in Trieste and its surroundings. He is particularly interested in composing for stage music, an activity he carries on through collaborations with directors and local theater companies.
His compositions have been performed in Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Chile and Canada.
He teaches piano, composition and music theory at important schools in Trieste.
